The Look of a Boutique Five-star Hotel,
but with a Sense of Arriving Home

The Fawkner might not have the ubiquitous garden path to the front door, but it does have an impressive driveway with a porte-cochere for residents and visitors to arrive in comfort, protected from the elements. And rather than being greeted by a clinical reception area, the ‘welcome mat’ takes the form of a gold-mirrored accent wall together with a ‘hammered’ stone reception counter. “Our brief was to create a glamorous reception, something you might find in a five-star hotel, but with a sense of arriving home,” says interior designer Javette Hamilton, senior interior designer with the practice. “Security is obviously important when you’re designing residences like this one, but there should be a sense of being welcomed rather than being intimidated,” she adds.

The amenities have been designed so residents can enjoy a greater sense of community. And the genuine 24-hour concierge is there to take care of everything for residents. Things like dry cleaning or dog walking can be arranged, papers brought up to your apartment, packages received and reservations made.
