Located on levels 18 and 19 of The Fawkner, the five bespoke penthouses extend across the two top levels. Connected by both stairs and a private internal lift, owners need not have to move again simply because stairs become too difficult to manage. “When you’re designing this type of home, you need to plan for people’s futures, as much as when they first move in,” says Javens.

These lavish ‘homes in the sky’, which vary in size from 270 square metres to 300 square metres, also feature generous terraces that range in size from 66 to 260 square metres. All the penthouses also enjoy dual panoramic views, over Port Phillip Bay and Fawkner Park, views that are here to stay.

While each penthouse offers a different floor space, all feature kitchen and open plan living and dining areas at the lower level. Bedrooms, complete with ensuite bathrooms, also cater for children, their friends and even guests coming from interstate or from overseas. And on the top level, commanding the premium 360 degree views are the main bedroom, ensuite bathroom and walk-in-dressing area together with a second living area that leads to a large terrace that offers the finest in alfresco dining. A kitchenette as part of this second living area means that food can be served directly to the terrace rather than climbing the stairs or taking the lift. “The sheer scale of these penthouses is unique, not to mention the views,” adds Javens.
