131-133 Domain Road, South Yarra

Everyday 7am - 12am

On the corner of Domain Road and Millswyn Street, South Yarra, Entrecôte was previously Lynch’s Restaurant, an up-market dining experience, where people spoke in hushed voices. As a Parisian steakhouse, Entrecôte is considerably less stuffy and as a result, much more popular. Inspired by the original Le Relais De L’Entrecôte (the famous one-dish steakhouse that opened in Port-Maillot, Paris), this latest addition opposite Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens, offers considerably more than one dish. But even when this dish is steak, it comes from pasture-fed beef from Hopkins River, located at the foothills of the Grampians, Victoria. Whether it’s for breakfast, lunch or dinner, the ambience at Entrecôte centres on friends sharing a meal and a glass of wine in one of Melbourne’s most idyllic settings. While there are several dining options, including a take-away window (in Millswyn Street), many gravitate to the outdoor table settings that are regularly full (perfect for spotting neighbours and friends strolling past).
